.
Edie Morton, Lyn Deardorff and Kyle F. Bidlack had the distinct honour of visiting Wilderness Works the week of March 18, 2013 and made the $2500 donation to an absolutely wonderful humanitarian effort going on right here in Cabbagetown. As you can see below, the kids were pretty psyched.
Later in March, Lyn and Edie gave Stackian Ed Akins a check for $500 to go towards the Jeremy Smith Scholarship Fund. Ed nobly heads up that effort. Jeremy was a neighbor and GREAT friend to many of us here at The Stacks. He was taken from us far too soon. We will never forget you Jeremy.
According to Ed, "The $500 puts us at $16,367.80 of our $25,000 goal!" Big thanks to Ed for keeping Jeremy's spirit of giving and community alive.
A thousand thanks to all those who worked so hard at the 2012 Stacks Lofts+Artists Tour. And a special tip o' the fedora to the artists and the loft owners who opened their doors and welcomed all of Atlanta into their homes.
